1/3 mile oval. It's a small tricky track. The inside lines don't start getting sticky for quite a bit. It seemed like on the 150 lap race the inside wasn't quick till about lap70.

Hey guys!! So I figured I would share with you something I've been up to. I've always wanted to have a side hobby in which could potentially be a small second income for my family. I had the idea a few weeks ago after my wife showed me something on Pinterest having to do with old pallets. I wanted to start making Upcycled home fashions/ seasonal crafts from pallets. The wood is free and my time is free as this is not my primary job. My actual investments are small so I don't need to have high prices. Here are a few items that I crafted last week. I've grown the attention of a local upscale fashion craft shop that wants us to put consignment in with them. I'm kinda stuck as I would give them a % for selling it but don't know if I would be taxed on it come income tax. If that was the case then it would be better for us to sell over social media as there is no tax. Anyways, I'm probably boring you guys but wanted to share as I might end up not playing Xbox as much, depending on the amount of orders. I'm adding new items and building plenty of stock with a variety of colors in case the shit hits the fan. Lol

. To my beloved online family, as you know from my post last night I had a business opportunity fall in my lap yesterday. I met with the owner of the shop after work today in regards to my family becoming a vendor for them, and the potential is crazy. We have accepted their offer and have become a vendor for the (Not So Empty Nest). I will be putting in consignment on a regular basis for a 60:40 profit split. We will be bringing home more than we expected as we had our merchandise priced to low. With this new opportunity comes a very sad announcement to the closest friends that I' hold dear to my heart Due to my already busy schedule I've now added a huge load of work to do after my normal work day. I'll be busy fulfilling orders and brainstorming new ideas to add to my list of merchandise into the late night hours. This brings me now to ask you guys how you feel about me backing down from crew Leader and appointing someone with more to offer. I will be on from time to time but in no way enough to be the leader of NSR. I will be on the forum to keep tabs on my buddies but it will have nothing to do with crew organization and or racing. I'm actually gutted writing this but I've had a amazing 3 year stint and have met so many awesome people that will remain in my thoughts. This is not goodbye, but more of "Catch ya around". Cheers
Grassy

I fully agree, Grassy, you need to step down. That's a very mature decision and the right thing to do.
Take a step down and hand over the reigns to someone else, but continue to race when convenient without the pressure of being the leader. Very wise.
However, this could result in a crew exodus after the announcement of this news. You're the fairest, most moderate and less-trollish person I know in this crew.

There is no one with more to offer than you, Grassy. I agree with skillz, the crew is finished without you. I wish all the best for you and your family and I'm glad that the reason you're quitting is for a positive thing that will make you happy. Almost every time a crew falls apart it is because of infighting but that is clearly not the case with NSR and that's a special thing. It can't go on without you though. You are one of my oldest xbox friends and it's very upsetting to know that you won't be racing at all but I fully understand and respect your decision. Real life always has to come first, especially when supporting a family. I'm so proud of the way you managed to keep us all together after Red Rum and Cloud 9 went under. When my connection was giving me nightmares, you would always hold the playlist for me to reset my console or do whatever I needed to do, even when nothing worked you still waited for me and tried to get me back in. You have so much patience with people and you've always been someone we could point to and say "that guy's on my side" even when it seemed like no one else was. We've had so many good times over the years even though this is just a video game it's something I'll never forget. I can only imagine the positive influence you have over the people in your real life and it makes me jealous that I never had a real friend like you. I'm really sad to see you go, brother.

For the record, a few of us had a discussion about this last night, and we decided that we want to keep grassy in the leadership spot. What that means is as Grassy moves away from GTA racing and becomes less active, so will Night Shift Racing. We agreed that rather then let a new leader take place and allow the crew to become a shell of its former self, like we have see some of the other crews do, it's better to just let it fade away, if thats what it comes to. Doesn't mean we wont be around. There will always be a group of us wearing the SHFT tag, and doing our best to put together relaxed racing lobbies. We always wanted people to be able to join us without the stress of fucking up on the track, or for being slow. We always just wanted to be able race with our buddies, which is what we will always do as long as we are still playing the game. Matters regarding new recruits and events like the Time Trial will have to be discussed. This forum will still be active, because it's always been less about the racing here, and more about having a place to chat.

Grassy, Whilst I don't know you as well as the majority of people here, I'd still like to contribute to this thread...
When I saw this yesterday I immediately began typing a response, now almost 24 hours later I still find myself rewriting the whole message. So after the 15th draft, I guess this will have to do now.
Back when I first joined Cloud9 you were the first person to reply to my post and the first person to add me. So I've always respected you. We've only spoken on a handful of occasions (away from the forums) but I can honestly say you've always conducted yourself as a true gentleman. I've seen some of your historical posts more recently and you've always conducted yourself with integrity and respect. Even in the most difficult of situations. With all the drama that seems to engulf the wider community from time to time, you have always stood out as a voice of reason. Even in personal dealings with you, when I fully expected you to pick the side of your comrades - you managed to remain impartial and reasonable, even though I was largely at fault. It's clear to me you leave in your absence an incredible legacy, one that is well deserved too. Such that nobody seemingly would dare step into your shoes as a replacement and I think that speaks volumes. I can honestly say I've never spoken to anyone who has a bad word to say about you. I think that alone is testament to you as a man.
I sincerely wish you well with your new project and hope it brings the success you deserve. Hopefully at some point in the near future our paths will cross and we'll actually get to race one another on the track again.

IM KINDA A SOFTY WHEN IT COMES TO HE SAID SHE SAID AND MORE OF FIND OUT FOR MYSELF SORTA GUY. AS I TELL MY KIDS, BETTER TO LEAD THAN FOLLOW. CHEERS
