Hey guys, i thought it would be a good idea to create a thread here in the forums for us to share our experiences with different accessories that we have purchased for our gaming experiences. Figured this could help some of us make decisions for new purchases we might be looking to make, or even present products we didn't even know existed.
I'd like these reviews to be more than just 'this thing is awesome' or 'what a piece of shit, although that is getting to the point, and there is something to that as well. So in addition to that, here are some guidelines.
Product Name What it is used for Pro's Con's Price Recommendation/Rating
I will be posting a few of my items over the coming days. Lets see yours!

Good idea Lifty!! I want to know all about control freaks. I don’t use them but know many racers do. If I was to get them would they improve my racing experience??

Ill be posting about those, I have 2 different types, since the originals i bought doubled in price since then, so I just got a new brand. In short, the new ones are only $10, so its worth the money to experiment, in my opinion.

The cost isnt what is stopping me from buying them. They just seem like they give a false sense of achievement. Lol

Here is the headset I use. It's the Polk Audio Striker ProZX. It's a very well built headset with quality audio and a quality mic. I bought it about a year, year and a half ago after going through some pretty generic sets. Personally, im not a fan of headsets that go over both ears, but I wasn't able to find a quality headset that only goes over the one ear. As I said, the construction is solid. The case around the earphones are metal, so very durable. The mic is a flexible rubber, so it wont break from a lot of abuse. All the cables that come with it are very flexible, so wont break over time either. It's not too heavy either, although, like most over the ear headsets, you will feel the squeeze a bit over time, which is why I don't like them. But thats not a strike against this headset in particular. It comes with its only audio adapter that plugs into the xbox controller, which controls your in game audio mix, your party chat mix, and your mute toggle, which is nice to have in the middle of a race because you don't have to pull your hand off of the controller or go into any xbox menus. In addition the being a great headset for gaming, it is also nice as a regular headset. The mic is detachable, so it wont be in the way. The audio for music or movies is incredible. This headset can also be used on XBOX, PS, PC, tablets...anything really, except maybe an xbox 360. Price: I got mine for $120, Amazon currently has them for $100 www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Striker-Pro-Gaming-Headset/dp/B013XAVPBQThe price is a bit high, but in comparison to most other decent headsets out there, I think its the best deal out there since it can be used on more than just your xbox. I definitely recommend it to anybody thats looking for a new headset or is having issues with their current one.

Xbox One Media RemoteThis is honestly the best remote you can buy for your XBOX one. If you watch a lot of TV (netfilx, hulu, amazon, ect.) you will love this thing. Quality built. Has a soft rubberized coating around it. Fits nice in your hands as well. One of the coolest features is that anytime you even bump it, the controller has a backlight that comes on for all of the buttons. This makes it easy to find the buttons when your watching TV in the dark. Works nicely with the XBOX menu as well. Has an 'XBOX' button for the main menu, navigation 'd pad', pause, play, ff, and rw. If you have an XBOX One S, you can program the volume to control your TV or stereo volume, which is pretty awesome. Downside is the price. I got mine for less than $25, which at that price is well worth it, but now Amazon is selling for $42, which is a bit crazy.. If you watch a lot of movies, and can find this thing for less than $30, buy it! www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IAVDPSA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
